The majority of commercial vehicles and specialized equipment today consist of fleets with environmental standards ranging from Euro 3 to Euro 5. While some vehicles are equipped with exhaust gas aftertreatment systems, the majority lack such systems. The most commonly used oil for these vehicles is SAE 15W-40 API CI-4, ACEA E7, which meets the requirements for both on-road commercial vehicles and off-road heavy-duty equipment, including construction and agricultural machinery.
For such vehicles, Mercedes-Benz, a leading manufacturer, recommends oils that meet the updated DTFR 15B110 specification, which has replaced the outdated MB 228.3 standard.
To address the needs of this fleet, HARTOL Endurance M SAE 15W-40 has received official DTFR 15B110 approval. It is recommended for use in vehicles with Euro 3 to Euro 5 environmental standards that do not feature DPF exhaust gas treatment systems.
