Most modern agricultural and construction machinery utilize hydrostatic drives as transmissions. The distinctive feature of hydrostatic transmissions is the transfer of driving force through the pumping and pressurization of oil.
Many types of off-road equipment use TDTO (Transmission Drive Train Oil), a heavy-duty lubricant specifically designed for robust transmissions, clutches, and wet brakes. This type of oil complies with Caterpillar TO-4 or Allison C4 specifications and is available in three viscosity grades: SAE 10W for winter and all-season use, and SAE 30 and SAE 50 for summer use. The SAE 10W grade is the most commonly used TDTO oil.
HARTOL TO-4 TRANS SAE 10W is specially formulated to meet the rigorous standards required by leading construction equipment manufacturers.
